Teodoro Romero
Experienced Teodoro Romero (202-C-85) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Arce and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 34-year old center had a double-double of 19 points and nineteen rebounds, while his team beat Nejapa (#4, 1-6) 72-59. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Arce maintains the 2nd position in Salvadorean Liga Superior. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Arce will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. Romero has many years of experience at Arce, through which he has constantly improved. Romero has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (5th best: 17.4ppg) and averages solid 2.6bpg and 58.0% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 35-year old forward Ronald Flores (186-F-84) of San Marcos. Flores impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led San Marcos to another comfortable win 104-89 over slightly lower-ranked Nejapa (#4, 1-6) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. San Marcos consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. His team's 5-2 record is not bad at all. Flores is well-known by San Marcos fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was Julio Ramirez (175-F-96) of Nejapa (#4). Ramirez scored 18 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). Despite Ramirez's great performance Nejapa lost 89-104 to #3 ranked San Marcos. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Nejapa can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-6 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Ramirez has individually a great season in El Salvador. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.7ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 9.3rpg (5th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
